Witham Health Services
Witham’s main campus is in Lebanon, Indiana. The Emergency Department serves about 17,000 patients per year, with growing annual volumes. With our location right off I-65, a main corridor of transportation through the Midwest, we care for a variety of medical and trauma patients spanning low acuity to critically ill. Witham has been voted (by Boone County residents) to be the best place to work for several years running, and physicians associated with Witham have been voted as the best in their fields, including our own Dr. Jo Coughlin! Witham’s Emergency Department has 24 hours/day of physician coverage, with 12-21 hours/day of advanced practice provider coverage.
Witham Health Services at Anson (Zionsville, Indiana) is a free-standing Emergency Department. Although there are not inpatient beds at Anson, we have close proximity to a variety of specialists including orthopedics, pediatrics, general surgery, otolaryngology, and others. The ED is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including radiology (including CT, MRI, ultrasound) and is prepared to treat even the most critically ill patients. Anson has 24 hours/day physician coverage.
Major Health Partners Medical Center
Major is a 70-bed community hospital located in Shelbyville, Indiana, just southeast of Indianapolis off of I-74. The Emergency Department serves about 26,000 patients per year. Major has 24 hours/day of physician coverage, as well as 24-30 hours/day of advanced practice provider coverage. We are excited to have moved into the new state-of-the-art Major Hospital in 2017!
MHP has been recognized with various national awards including Becker’s Hospital Review’s Top 100 Community Hospitals (2019). As cited in Becker’s: in 2017 and 2018, the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health honored the hospital with the 2018 Performance Leadership Award for high quality patient care. The hospital also earned a spot on the Chartis Center for Rural Health’s 100 Top Rural & Community Hospitals list for 2018. That same year, Vocera Communications gave MHP its Vocera Centers of Excellence honor.
Johnson Memorial Health
Boone County Emergency Medicine is excited to have joined forces with JMH in Summer 2020, to provide excellent emergency care to its patients. JMH serves the residents of Johnson County and surrounding areas and is known for its dedication to creating a family-like culture of care. The hospital recently completed construction of a state-of-the-art addition that houses a 17,400-square foot Emergency Department as well as various outpatient services. JMH is a certified Stroke Ready Center.
