Katie grew up in Chesterton, IN, leaving the state for a few years to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences and Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. After graduating, she moved to Indianapolis with her husband, Patrick, where they live with their dog.  She is so grateful to work with a group like BCEM that supports its members both personally and professionally.  Katie is a member of Indiana Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Emergency Physician Assistants.  She has her Certificate of Added Qualification in Emergency Medicine. Outside of the ER, Katie enjoys running and volunteering with Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana.
