Dr. Coughlin grew up in Walled Lake, Michigan, a small town 90 minutes outside of Detroit. She attended Eastern Michigan University as an undergraduate, then Wayne State University (in Detroit, MI) for medical school. She trained in EM at Indiana University. Dr. Coughlin is well-loved by staff and patients alike; she was voted one of Boone County’s most popular physicians in 2014! She also brings a unique expertise to her practice: in 2018 she completed a Fellowship in Palliative Care. Dr. Coughlin has a passion for animals; she hopes to one day open a dog rescue for 10-20 dogs!
