Dr. Barton joined the BCEM team in July 2020 and became an assistant EMS director at Johnson Memorial Hospital in 2022. He completed undergrad at Columbia International University in 2002 and worked doing youth and family counseling/youth ministry for 9 years.  During that time he also worked Fire/EMS and fell in love with medicine.  His family moved to Ghana, West Africa in 2009 to work at a special needs orphanage and dig water wells, then returned to the US in 2010 so that he could begin medical school at Indiana University. He completed his Emergency Medicine training at IUEM in 2020. In his free time, Dr. Barton loves the outdoors, being a dad, and traveling. He is a pilot for fun and looks forward to being able to enjoy this hobby more!
